Huling hirit…and turtle update

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

This is it! Tomorrow I will be starting pre-residency. And I’ve heard the schedule is quite tough for first year residents. As I am a first-year resident wannabe, I am anticipating that the schedule will be even tougher. Tough for me because I have a really hard time getting up in the morning. And I’ve heard we’re gonna have to report to work as early as 5:30 AM, sometimes even earlier (think 3 or 4 am).

Seeing as I am a sleepy-head, with a very unhealthy lifestyle, with little physical activity for the past few months, I anticipate fatigue. And so I am now saying goodbye (hopefully temporarily) to the world of the internet. I think all I’ll be interested in for the following weeks will be food and my bed. I am hoping that my weekends will be free. And even then, that will probably be used to catch up on sleep or trying to engage in new activities c/o Kim, and/or learning how to drive (pa rin!!!). I hope they give us a Christmas break!!!

Gosh, I will so miss facebook and multiply and YM.

So friends, I will now be dropping off the face of the earth again. If you want to get in touch, there will always be the cellphone…just avoid texting during office hours as much as possible…or at least don’t expect a reply till later, haha. The good thing is, I’m back to having an allowance. Come Jan/Feb/March (depending on the government’s willingness to release funds) I will be getting my first real salary. So that means, I won’t be cash-strapped anymore (hopefully). So I can actually commit to going out. And I can finally afford to pay for cellphone load, haha (btw, I might switch to a line so watch out for that). And when I finally learn how to drive, I’ll be even freer. Who knows, I might volunteer to drive for an out-of-towner, hehe.

Gosh, I will miss you guys. Having almost daily access to the internet has helped me get back in touch with a lot of old friends. Especially those from high school (convent girls and old classmates). And I didn’t even have to spend for load (haha, cheapskate talaga ko these past few months).

      Ciao for now!

Maan: sabihan mo ko if you’re ever in Rob Ermita! Hayaan mo, magpapakita na din ako eventually, hehe. Coming soon! Must see Andrei, dami ko na utang…

Fenina: bakit rare na kita makita sa YM?

Gem: is you’re multiply still active?

Che: san na blogs?

Jenny: wag na mag-basketball, ayaw kitang maging patient ko, hehehe

Kim: I’m kinda scared to find my OTL but what the heck, bring it on

Aisa: kasama ka ha!!!

Bianx: really hope to see you soon, it’s been ages!

Will miss the online activity: Chuckie’s surveys (sa friendster) and comments, Maan and Aina’s addiction to “surveys” and guess-whos, Aina’s crazy blogs, kicking my friends on I kick you, sending drinks on Top Friends, answering “My Questions”, everybody else’s blogs…my blog…hay.

Oh, by the way…my crazy turtle scared me again the other night. He’s braver than before. He snuck up on me until he was around two feet away from the computer (and this was at 2 AM!!!). Kaya pala I had this crazy feeling that someone was watching me! And even when he knew I’d already seen him, he went right ahead and crawled right under my chair! Waaah! And nobody else was awake and my dad was away.  So I got a huge serving bowl and a placemat and tried to catch it. Imagine this…nakikipaghabulan sa pagong…and the whole time I was shouting “P***** I**** pagong!!!!, Leche!!!” Yes, the turtle revived my potty mouth. And now I can’t stop.

I researched on turtles and found out that he’s a soft-shell turtle nga. And that the Chinese eat his kind (for export pa nga e!!!) If he does that to me again, it’s off to a Chinese restaurant for you, buddy! Hehe.
